1-3-2-6 system – playing roulette responsibly
Not every roulette betting strategy is aimed at obtaining as much profit as possible. Maybe you're a more conservative player and are not prepared to make big losses? The 1-3-2-6 system protects you against large losses and increases your chances of (smaller) profits. As the name suggests, you use this method in the following way: you place bets as: 1-3-2-6. Of course you play only on even chances, such as red/black, even/odd or 1-18/19-36.
Playing with the 1-3-2-6 system
If you play roulette using the 1-3-2-6 system, you choose a betting unit first. You place your bets successively using a multiple of your betting unit. Say you choose € 10, then you bet as follows (when you win): € 10, € 20 and € 30, € 60. If you win all four turns, you start the sequence again. If you lose anywhere in the sequence, you go back to the beginning of the series.
A good start…
The best thing about the 1-3-2-6 system is that you cannot lose if you win the first two bets. If you lose a series, it is never a big loss. Check out the 5 scenarios below:
Loss on the first spin, total loss is 1 betting unit.
Loss on the second spin, total loss is 2 betting units.
Loss on the third spin, you win 2 betting units.
Loss on the fourth spin, you are even.
Win the fourth spin, you win 12 betting units.
The 1-3-2-6 system refined
There is really only 1 disadvantage to the 1-3-2-6 system. This is on your last bet (bet 4). It is fairly simple and low risk to win 6 betting units. Your third turn always gives you a profit of 2 units, even if you lose that bet. Some players (who like to play it safe), in the fourth however, are not happy to risk everything in bet 4. They prefer to preserve some money and place just 4 instead of 6 betting units in their fourth bet. This means a small adjustment to the 1-3-2-6 system, and playing 1-3-2-4. This last system is also commonly used in Punto Banco and Baccarat games. Interested in how this system works? Try playing roulette in one of the online casinos.
