Fibonacci system – playing with a strategy

An example of using the Fibonacci system for placing bets

If you win, you go 2 steps back in the numbers series and so your next bet is € 10 again. The system makes sure that your wins always recoup your previous 2 losses. Therefore, always determine in advance what your own betting limit is and to what step in the series you're willing to go.

Who was Fibonacci?

His real name was actually Leonardo of Pisa, but this Italian mathematician is better known as Fibonacci. He lived from the end of twelfth until the middle of the thirteenth century. He was born in Italy but he was educated in North Africa. There he studied Arabic numerals (including the number zero) and he found out that these made for much more efficient arithmetic than the Roman numerals, which were common in Europe until then. In 1202 he introduced this numeric system into Europe. After his death, he was given the nickname "Fibonacci". This name consists of a combination of "Figlio di Bonaccio", or son of Bonaccio. The name Bonaccio means 'kind helper' and was his father's nickname.
